I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON EIGHT

WEEK 4

This week in the Premier League, Man City beat Leicester at the third time of asking after the FA Cup and Community Shield, with a 1-0 away win. Chelsea were clinical as they beat Aston Villa 3-0 at home. Crystal Palace got their first win of the season as they blitzed 10 man Tottenham 3-0 at home. Liverpool cruised past Leeds 3-0 away. Everton came from behind to score three goals in six minutes to beat Burnley 3-1 at home. A certain someone scored two, as Man Utd brushed aside Newcastle 4-1 at home. Wolves got their first win and goals of the season as they beat Watford 2-0 away. Arsenal also got their first goal, win and points of the season as they beat Norwich 1-0 at home. Brighton got a last minute winner to beat Brentford 1-0 away and Southampton played out a 0-0 draw at home to West Ham.

In the ITYIFL, defending champion Danny Milton reaffirmed his stranglehold on the league as he stormed back to the top of the table via 26 points, due to a superb 71 point weekly score. This was thanks to captain Ronaldo (26) Alexander-Arnold (12) Coady (6) Semedo (6) Sanchez (6) and Duffy (6).

Following a relatively disappointing 47 point week, Sanjay Beecher moves down into second place. His only real contributions came from captain Salah (16) Alexander-Arnold (12) and Coady (6). Nordin Gharib remains in third, following a decent 62 point week. This was thanks to the likes of Alexander-Arnold (12) Aubameyang (9) Pogba (9) Salah (8) Coufal (6) Sanchez (6) and Shaw (5).

My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar remains in fourth, also with a decent weekly score of 62 points. This was due to captain Salah (16) Ronaldo (13) Bernardo (10) Cresswell (8) and Livramento (6). This weeks joint Highest Mover is my old work mate Mr James, who moved up five places from tenth to fifth and just a point behind fourth. This was due to an excellent 76 point wildcard weekly score, which also made him this weeks Highest Scorer. Doing the business was captain Ronaldo (26) Alexander-Arnold (12) Aubameyang (9) Salah (8) Gray (7) and Duffy (5).

Another former champ Jeff Franklin remains in sixth, just a point behind fifth, due to a decent 59 point week. With contributions from captain Salah (16) Fernandes (8) Cresswell (8) Sanchez (6) Shaw (5) and White (5). Yet another former champ, Yours Truly, remains in seventh, thanks to my decent weekly score of 64 points. I can thank the likes of captain Fernandes (16) Lukaku (13) Alexander-Arnold (12) Mendy (9) and Pepe (6).

Moving up into eighth, just a point behind me in seventh, is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana, thanks to his 61 point weekly score. He can thank the likes of Alexander-Arnold (12) Zaha (12) Pogba (9) Salah (8) Dias (7) and Shaw (5). Down into ninth, despite a decent 63 point week is Kool FM’s Pressure X. This was due to captain Ronaldo (26) Fernandes (8) Cresswell (8) Gray (7) Alonso (5) and Greenwood (5).

Moving down into tenth, but just a point behind ninth is my old club mate Darren Ahmet with a relatively disappointing 48 point week. His main contributions came from Fernandes (8) Gray (7) Dias (7) Sanchez (6) Greenwood (5) and Duffy (5). This weeks other joint Highest Mover was my youngest nephew, the actor Tahj Miles. He moved up five places from 18th to 13th, due to a decent 63 point wildcard weekly score. This was thanks to captain Greenwood (10) Ronaldo (13) Alexander-Arnold (12) Mendy (9) Dias (7) and Shaw (5).

Full steam ahead to week 5, make it count y’all.
