Fantasy Football S8 WEEK 23 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON EIGHT

WEEK 23

This week in the Premier League, Chelsea beat Tottenham 2-0 at home. Norwich surprised Watford beating them 3-0 away. Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 3-1 away. Villa continued Everton’s horrible run beating them 1-0 away. Man Utd needed literally a last second goal to beat West Ham 1-0 at home. Newcastle got their first win for some time as they beat Leeds 1-0 away. Wolves continued their good run beating Brentford 2-1 away. Southampton held Man City to a 1-1 home draw. Burnley held Arsenal 0-0 at the Emirates and 10 days later, Watford drew at Burnley 0-0.

After all that waiting, it was a very low key/low scoring fantasy week where the majority of us was left fooled and frustrated by Watford forward Dennis, whose red card put him out for the midweek game, leaving him on minus points, doh. Anyway, it didn’t stop defending champ Danny Milton maintaining a very healthy 126 point lead at the top, following his 32 point weekly score. His contributions came mainly from Tierney (8) Foster (6) and Jota (5).

My youngest son Latrell Oscar will not give up hope in second, as stranger things have happened in fantasy and will continue to keep plucking away. He scored a 33 point week due to Ramsdale (8) Tierney (8) and Jota (5). Jeff Franklin remains in third with a weekly score of 32 points, mainly due to De Bruyne (8) Coufal (7) and Sanchez (4).

My old work colleague Mr James moves up into a Champions League place with, given the circumstances an excellent 51 point week. This was thanks to Digne (12) De Bruyne (8) Ramsdale (8) Tierney (8) and Mount (6). This sees Natalie Holder move down to fifth, following her disappointing weekly score of 29 points, where her only real contributions come from Laporte (10) and Martinez (5).

Washington DC’s Greg Cabana remains in sixth with a 35 point weekly score, due to the likes of captain Alexander-Arnold (4) Jota (5) Mbuemo (5) Pukki (5) and Sanchez (4). Maintaining a mini domestic battle, Sanjay Beecher is hot on his heels, just a point behind in seventh, following a decent 43 point week. This was thanks to captain Jota (10) White (8) Maupay (5) and Sanchez (4).

Moving up four places from 12th to 8th, is this week’s Highest Mover ahem Charles Denton, with a superb weekly score of 56 points, which also made him this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business were captain De Bruyne (16) Laporte (10) Ramsdale (8) White (8) and Jota (5). Tommy Lee moves down to ninth, due to his 31 point weekly score, his contributions came from captain Bernardo (4) Rudiger (7) and Martinez (5).

Nordin Gharib moves up into the top ten thakns to a very decent 50 point week. This was due to captain Mount (12) Ziyech (11) Jota (5) Maguire (5) and Martinez (5).

After short winter break the Premier league is back in full swing with midweek games, so full steam to week 24, make it count y’all.
