Fantasy Football S8 WEEK 32 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON EIGHT

WEEK 32

This week in the Premier League, in the “title decider” it’s very much as you were as Man City drew with Liverpool 2-2 at the Etihad. Chelsea smashed Southampton 6-0 away. Tottenham smashed Villa 4-0 away. Brighton got their first win in seven, as they upset Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates. Leeds more or less secured their league status by beating Watford 3-0 away. The same can be said for Brentford as they beat West Ham 2-0 at home. Everton got a much-needed win as they beat lacklustre Man Utd 1-0 at home. Norwich got a very important 2-0 home win against Burnley and Leicester beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at home.

In the ITYIFL, any manager who had Tottenham’s Son were laughing, if you captained him you were ecstatic as he evaluated a mediocre score to a really good one. That said, without Son, defending champion and back to back title chasing Danny Milton remains on course to defend his title. He continues to put up consistent numbers to keep a relatively good distance from the rest. This was due to a decent 51 point week, with contributions from captain Kane (20) Kulusevski (12) Mendy (6) and Salah (6).

Clawing away at the lead in second is my old work colleague Mr James, who now sits 78 points behind, due to a very decent 73 point weekly score. Doing the business were mainly captain Son (42) Kane (10) Jota (7) and Maddison (6). Sanjay Beecher remains in third, not that for behind, following a weekly score of 70 points, thanks to captain Kane (20) Mbeumo (13) Kulusevski (12) Raya (7) Havertz (6) and Salah (5).

My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar remains in fourth, but lost ground on the top three following his weekly score of 55 points. His contributions came from captain Raphinha (20) Kulusevski (12) Davies (6) Salah (5) and Alexander-Arnold (4). Moving up to fifth is my old football club mate Darren Ahmet, who is back in contention, closing the distance on fourth, thanks to a very decent 72 point week. This was mainly due to captain Son (42) Kane (10) Rudiger (6) and Alexander-Arnold (4).

Also moving up, to sixth is another former champ Jeff Franklin due to his 62 point weekly score. This was thanks to captain Kane (20) Kulusevski (12) Raphinha (10) Cancelo (5) Salah (5) and Alexander-Arnold (4). This sees Washington DC’s Greg Cabana move down to seventh, following his disappointing 36 point week. His only real contributions came from captain Salah (10) Maddison (6) Rudiger (6) and Alexander-Arnold (4).

Nordin Gharib remains in eighth, following his very decent weekly score of 72 points. This was due to captain Kane (20) Kulusevski (12) Toney (12) Raphinha (10) Salah (5) and Alexander-Arnold (4). Lee Barratt continues his recent good form as he moves up to ninth, following his very decent bench boost 75 point week. This was thanks to the likes captain De Bruyne (18) Toney (12) Jota (7) Dier (6) Cancelo (5) Salah (5) Alexander-Arnold (4) and then off the bench Pukki (9) and Eriksen (3).

Moving down, but just making up the top ten is Natalie Holder following her modest weekly score of 43 points. Her only real contributions came from captain Kane (20) Jota (7) and Cancelo (5). This week’s Highest Scorer was my Old Skool mate Derick Fredericks, who scored an impressive and well played wildcard weekly score of 91 points. Doing the business were mainly captain Son (42) Toney (12) Kane (10) Harrison (9) and Jota (7).

This week’s joint Highest Movers were firstly, Yours Truly. I moved up two places from 15th to 13th, due to my decent 70 point weekly score, this was thanks to Mount (19) Kane (10) De Bruyne (9) Odegaard (7) Coleman (6) Reguilon (6) and Cancelo (5). Secondly, Timothy Stigwood, whose weekly score of 57 points moved him up two places from 21st to 19th. His contributions came from captain Jota (14) Kane (10) Lloris (10)  Pukki (9) Cancelo (5) and Alexander-Arnold (4).

Full steam ahead to week 33, which will be stretched over 5 days. Also, your week 33 score will determine the first-round draw for the inaugural ITYIFL Cup….. Make it count y’all.
