WEEK 22

This midweek in the Premier League, Liverpool brushed Chelsea aside 4-1 at home. Newcastle beat Aston Villa 3-1 away. Man Utd survived a stoppage-time equaliser to get a stoppage-time winner in a thrilling 4-3 win at Wolves.

Luton surprisingly thrashed Brighton 4-0 at home. Arsenal beat Notts Forest 2-1 away. Spurs beat Brentford 3-2 at home. Crystal Palace came from behind twice to beat Sheff Utd 3-2 at home.

Man City eased past Burnley 3-1 at home. Bournemouth drew 1-1 at West Ham, and Everton drew 0-0 at Fulham.

In the ITYFL, it is very much ‘as you were’ at the top as Owen Barnes maintains a slender 15 point lead at the top of the table. Following his 49 point weekly score, due to J.Alvarez (13) Saka (10) De Bruyne (7), and Watkins.

My coaching partner Francis Norville is still harbouring title hopes in second place. He also had a weekly score of 49 points. With captain De Bruyne (14) Saka (10) Solanke (8), and Watkins (7).

Just three points behind in third, Sanjay Beecher puts himself in title contention due to his very decent 70 point week, thanks to captain Jota (16) J.Alvarez (13) Pickford (10) Solanke (8) Richarlison (7) Watkins (7) and Foden (8).

My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, moves up to fourth, thanks to his decent 68 point weekly score. With contributions from captain Watkins (14) J.Alvarez (13) Saka (10) Solanke (8) De Bruyne (7), and Trippier (7).

Former champ, champ Danny Milton, ominously moves up to fifth, thanks to his 59 point week. Due to captain Foden (12) Saka (10) Jota (8) Solanke (8) Watkins (7) and Doughty (6). This sees my middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie, move down to sixth, following a weekly score of 41 points. His main contributions came from Saka (10) Solanke (8) Watkins (7), and Foden (6).

The defending double champ Jeff Franklin, moves up to seventh due to his very decent weekly score of 73 points. Thanks to captain J.Alvarez (24) Udogie (10) Solanke (8) Watkins (7) Zinchenko (7), and Foden (6). My blood brother Wayne Watson stays in eighth following his 48 point weekly score, with contributions mainly from captain J.Alvarez (26) and Saka (10).

My oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown moves up to ninth, thanks to a decent 69 point week. Due to captain De Bruyne (14) Adebayo (17) Olise (16) Saka (10), and Watkins (7). Moving down to joint ninth is former champ, ahem Charles Denton, following his 43 point weekly score, his only decent contributions coming from captain De Bruyne (14) Saka (10) and Watkins (7).

This week’s Highest Scorer was Timothy Stigwood, thanks to an excellent weekly score of 82 points. It moved him up six places from 18th to 12th, making him this week’s Highest Mover. Doing the business was captain J.Alvarez (26) Luis Diaz (12) Saka Toney (10) (10) Udogie (10), and Leno (8).

It’s a quick turnaround to the weekend games. Make it count y’all.
