SEASON SIX
WEEK 32
This week in the Premier League, Man City trounced a suspected alcohol filled new Premier League champions Liverpool 4-0 at home. West Ham left it late to beat Chelsea 3-2 at home. Sheff Utd beat Spurs at home 3-1. Man Utd strolled past Brighton 3-0 away. Arsenal destroyed Norwich 4-0 at home. Everton beat Leicester 2-1 at home. Newcastle destroyed Bournemouth 4-1 away. Southampton beat Watford 3-1 away. Burnley beat Palace 1-0 away and Wolves beat Aston Villa away by the same score.
With only six fantasy weeks to go, it looks as though things are going right to the wire, with a real close title brewing. June top scorer by a mere one point Danny Milton, has regained the top spot via just two points, thanks to an excellent 88 point week. This was due to the likes of captain Aubameyang (32) Fernandes (15) De Bruyne (14) Wan-Bissaka (10) Doherty (6).
Missing out on being June top scorer by one point, Mr Ever-Present Jeff Franklin will be more aggrieved at losing the top spot, but will have it firmly in his sights. He scored a decent 76 points, thanks to contributions from captain Aubameyang (32) Fernandes (15) De Bruyne (14) and Martinez (5). Also with a weekly score of 76 points, Mr James remains in third place, following a decent free hit week and will desperate to close the gap. His contributions came from captain Aubameyang (32) De Bruyne (14) Pulisic (8) Doherty (6) Patricio (6).
Timothy Stigwood remains in the Champions League places following a 73 point week. This was due to captain De Bruyne (28) Sterling (16) Ings (13) and Patricio (6). Lee Barratt remains in fifth, following a decent 77 point week. He can thank captain De Bruyne (28) Fernandes (15) Ings (13) Taylor (7) and Pogba (6).
Washington DC’s Greg C, who was the third top scorer in June, only scoring one and two points less than the top two respectively last month, moves up into sixth place, with a very impressive wildcard weekly score of 89 points. Doing the business were captain Aubameyang (32) De Bruyne (14) Ings (13) Wan-Bissaka (10) Pulisic (8) and Martnez (5). My oldest mate Delroy Preddie moves down one into seventh place, following a 54 point week. His main contributions came from captain De Bruyne (28) Coady (7) and Digne (5).
Natalie Stigwood remains in eighth, due to a weekly score of 68 points. She can thank the likes of captain De Bruyne (28) Fernandes (15) Pope (9) and Son (6). Halifa S S moves up into ninth place, thanks to a very decent 84 point week, due to captain Aubameyang (32) Dendoncker (10) Wan-Bissaka (10) Richarlison (6) and Stevens (5).
Owen Barnes moves down, but makes up the top ten following and given the circumstances, a disappointing weekly score of 48 points. His only real contributions came from De Bruyne (14) Ings (13) and Pope (9). This weeks joint Highest Scorers were firstly, Nordin Gharib who scored a superb bench boost 95 point week, to take him within two points of the top ten. Doing the business were Aubameyang (16) Fernandes (15) Saint-Maximin (15) Pulisic (8) Son (6) Doherty (6) Shaw (5) and off the bench Wan-Bissaka (10).
Also Yours Truly, I scored an impressive 95 points, which moved me up three places from 25th to 22nd (lofty heights) also making me this weeks joint Highest Mover, thanks to contributions from captain Aubameyang (32) Sterling (16) Fernandes (15) De Bruyne (14) and Greenwood (12). The second joint Highest Mover was Kool FM’s Pressure X. He scored a decent 71 point week, moving him up three places from 18th to 15th, thanks to captain Fernandes (30) Ings (13) Wan-Bissaka (10) Doherty (6) and De Gea (6).
Lastly, the third joint Highest Mover is the current champion, getting a rare mention in a disappointing season in defence of his title. Charles Denton scored 68 points, which moved him up three places from 19th to 16th. This was due to captain Kane (14) De Bruyne (14) Ings (13) Wan-Bissaka (10) Maguire (6) and Patricio (6).
It’s another quick turnaround with the new game week starting on Saturday. The last six game weeks will be coming in thick and fast and ending this month, so make it count ya’ll.
