Fulham secured a 2-1 home win against Leicester and Newcastle got a late equaliser and then survived a last-minute scare to draw 1-1 at Bournemouth.

In the ITYFL, my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar has managed to keep his nose in front at the top of the table, thanks to a decent weekly score of 74 points. Due to captain Saka (12) Son (16) Salah (10) Van de Ven (9) Alexander-Arnold (6) Robertson (6) and N.Williams (6).

Moving up into second and ominously just seven points behind is the defending three-times champ Danny Milton, following his very decent 88 point week. Thanks to captain Son (32) Raya (10) Smith Rowe (10) Alexander-Arnold (6) Jota (6) Porro (6) Saka (6) and Saliba (6).

Just two points behind, making up the Champions League places, is the two-time champ Jeff Franklin, following his very decent weekly score of 88 points. Due to captain Haaland (34) Gordon (10) Joao Pedro (8) Jota (6) Pedro (6) Saka (6) and Saliba (6).

This sees Owen Barnes moved down to fifth place, with a weekly score of 65 points, his contributions were from captain Salah (20) Smith Rowe (10) Areola (6) Gabriel (6) Saka (6) and Saliba (6). This week’s Highest Scorer was my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, with a superb weekly score of 98 points. It also made him this week’s Highest Mover, as he moved up a massive 14 places, into seventh, which puts him joint third on the all-time list. Thanks mainly to a smart and brave early triple captain choice of Haaland (51), also De Bruyne (12) Soucek (8) Jota (6) White (6) and Mazraoui (4).

Moving up to eighth is Yours Truly. I scored a decent 74 point weekly score, due to captain Haaland (34) Alisson (6) Gabriel (6) Jota (6) Kulusevski (6) and Porro (6). This sees my daughter, The OG Nea, move down to ninth, following her 61 point week, with contributions from captain Haaland (34) Alexander-Arnold (6) Saka (6) and White (6).

On the same points as ninth, making up the top ten, flying the flag for JA & USA is Sanjay Beecher, due to his 71 point weekly score. Following captain Haaland (34) Salah (10) Robinson (7) Jota (6) and Maddison (6).

Full steam ahead to week 3, the last game week before the first international break. Make it count y’all.
