Fantasy Football S9 WEEK 23 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON NINE

WEEK 23

This week in the Premier League. Bottom club Southampton shocked big spenders Chelsea 1-0 away. Arsenal came back twice, then got two late goals to beat Aston Villa away 4-2. Man Utd strolled past Leicester at home 3-0. Fulham got a smash-and-grab win as they beat Brighton 1-0 away. Bournemouth beat Wolves away by the same score. Liverpool looked good as they beat Newcastle 2-0 away. Spurs beat West Ham at home by the same score. Everton got a much-needed win beating Leeds at home 1-0. Forest got a late goal to get a shock 1-1 draw at home to Man City, and Brentford got an even later goal, to draw 1-1 at home to Palace.

In the ITYIFL. It is pretty much as you were, as none of the top ten teams moved positions. However, although Natalie Stigwood remains in first place, her lead was cut slightly, following her 46 point weekly score. With main contributions from Rashford (15) Zinchenko (7) Saka (6) Shaw (6) Shaw (6) and Kane (5), but took a -3 hit from Pope.

In second, but cutting the lead at the top to 30 points, is the double champ, Danny Milton. Thanks to his 54 point week, due Rashford (15) Odegaard (8) Saka (6) Shaw (6) and Kane (5). In third, continuing his very decent debut season, is my recent former work colleague Abdul Rahman, with a weekly score of 51 points. Following contributions from Rashford (15) Fernandes (12) Saka (6) and Kane (5).

Making up the Champions League places is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana, with a decent weekly score of 57 points. Thanks to the likes of Rashford (15) Odegaard (8) Ream (6) Saka (6) Salah (6) and Shaw (6). Fighting for a Champions League place, just a point behind fourth, is Yours Truly, following my 56 point week. This was due to Rashford (15) Odegaard (8) Zinchenko (7) Saka (6) Pickford (6) and Kane (5).

Just seven points behind me in sixth place is Philippines native Jean Ninal, continuing her impressive debut season. She had a decent 59 point weekly score, thanks to Rashford (15) Odegaard (8) Zinchenko (7) Martinelli (6) Shaw (6) and Kane (5). Just a point behind in seventh, is former champ Jeff Franklin with a decent weekly score of 58 points. His contributions came from Rashford (15) Fernandes (12) Martinelli (6) Shaw (6) Darwin (5) and Kane (5).

A further seven points behind is Sanjay Beecher in eighth place, following his very decent 63 point week. Thanks mainly to Rashford (15) Leno (11) Estupinan (8) Odegaard (8) and Kane (5). In ninth is my old football clubmate Darren Ahmet, who has done well to claw himself back into the mix, with a very decent 64 point weekly score. Thanks to an intelligent captain choice of Rashford (30) also, Odegaard (8) Saka (6) Shaw (6) and Kane (5).

Timothy Stigwood makes up the top ten following his weekly score of 51 points. With contributions from Rashford (15) Fernandes (12) Martinelli (6) Saka (6) and Kane (5) but took a -3 hit from Pope. This week’s Highest Scorer is my former work colleague and very happy Gooner Wayne James. He registered a very decent 67 point week. Doing the business was an intelligent captain choice of Rashford (30) also, Estupinan (8) Odegaard (8) Saka (6) Shaw (6) and Kane (5) despite also taking a -3 hit from Pope.

This week’s joint Highest Movers were first my oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown. Who moved up three places from 19th to 16th due to a 54 point week score. Thanks to captain Saka (12) Rashford (15) Alexander-Arnold (12) and Odegaard (8), but took a -3 hit from Pope. Secondly, Kool FM’S Pressure X also moved up three places from 20th to 17th, thanks to his weekly score of 53 points. His contributions came mainly from an intelligent captain choice of Rashford (30) also, Saka (6) and Kane (5).

Full steam ahead to week 24, make it count y’all.
